The Team

Dermot McGrath

Founder & Operator

Founded by Dermot McGrath, an Irish entrepreneur and VC operator who spent a decade building across China's technology and investment ecosystems. As co-founder of Ryze Labs (formerly Sino Global Capital), he helped grow the firm from a Beijing coffee shop startup into an international digital asset investment fund with nine figures USD AUM.

His work spanned fundraising, deal sourcing, research, product development, cross-cultural team leadership, and crisis management including steering communications and operations during industry shocks such as the FTX collapse. Beyond investing, he has led applied AI and robotics initiatives, built and deployed software products, and managed complex cross-border execution and commercialization environments for both startups and corporates.

He is fluent in Mandarin and now operates ZenGen Labs, providing strategy, execution, and growth services to founders, funds, and frontier technology companies.
